InteractiveInc Recruitment already had a website that provided them with good feedback in the market place. The problem was the site was coming up on 5 years old which was putting it well and truly out of date.
One of the big things with this was the site was not designed to work on mobile devices (smartphones & tablets). In the job seeker market, the ability to search and apply for jobs on your phone is crucial.
The sight was also missing good page structure and as such as not as good as it could be in terms of search engine rankings andÂ visibility, as well as having a clunky and complicate backend for them to manage their own content and make changes when required.
In addition to needing an update to remain current (especially given the market they operated in) their internal infrastructure was getting a complete overhaul also, and as such the new website would need to be integrated with the JobAdder Recruitment Software platform.
First step was to gather exactly where the business was in terms of it’s digital infrastructure. Questions like:
- where is the website hosted and with who?
- what other software is currently in use in the business?
- what if any of those need or are already being upgraded?
- which social networks do you use to generate leads?
- are you currently able to track what happens with your visitors once they get to your website?
Gathering all of this information allows both us and you to get the complete picture and avoid making a decision in one area without considering the impact on the overall business.
We then go through the process of understanding and profiling the target audience, demographics, goals and objectives, intended outcomes, desired experience dealing the business, which gets used as the basis for design process allowing us to find the right “feeling” to project.
